Through enriching the soil and caring for the eco-system, they are protecting the world that we pass on to our children.

MISO

Clearspring’s Miso range is a selection of the finest authentic and traditionally slow fermented Japanese Miso. A staple food and seasoning enjoyed daily throughout Japan, with an abundance of umami. It is made from fermented soya beans, rice or barley, koji culture and sea salt. Miso has a unique, naturally salty flavour and aroma which varies depending on the fermentation time, temperature and the length of the aging process. It takes years to perfect the balance of miso which results in a sweet, earthy, savoury and fruity product. Clearspring are proud to be working with 5th generation skilled craftsmen. There is a Miso for every dish from the versatile Sweet White Miso to more complex flavours of Hatcho Miso, celebrated as the Miso for the Emperor.

SEASONING SAUCES

The taste of each Clearspring Authentic Japanese Seasoning is both distinctive and delightful. Produced by the finest skilled craftsmen using traditional family recipes, their seasonings can be enjoyed alone or combined together to create the most delicious and complex umami flavours.

TOFU

Clearspring Organic long life Tofu is made with just three ingredients: organic whole soya beans, spring water from Mount Fuji and Nigari- a naturally occurring mineral rich coagulant derived from sea water. Denser and richer than other soft tofu it has a silky soft, smooth texture whilst maintaining firmness. It is very easy to use and tastes as good as fresh tofu.

NOODLES

Quick to cook and delicious in flavour, Clearspring Organic Noodles are satisfying and versatile foods. They can be used all year round in a wide range of Asian and Western dishes, including piping hot noodles in broth, satisfyingly rich stir-fries, and succulent summer salads. The range includes varieties of Udon wheat noodles, thin Soba buckwheat noodles and Gluten Free Brown Rice noodles.

SEA VEGETABLES

Clearspring’s Sea Vegetables, also known as the nutritional powerhouse from the sea, includes carefully selected mineral rich, low-calorie and delicious seaweeds such as Arame, Wakame, Kombu and Nori. Seaweed is an incredibly versatile food and can be enjoyed as a snack with our popular Seaveg Crispies. Used as a gelling agent with their Agar sea vegetable flakes or used to elevate a variety of dishes from soups and stir-fries to traditional Japanese sushi.

As well as the above, we’re also stocking Umami Pastes (Chilli and ginger flavours)  ginger pickle,  organic chickpeas, red cabbage, sauerkraut, and more! Clearspring has a well-deserved reputation for unsurpassed quality and authenticity and their range uses authentic recipes with distinctive flavours made the traditional way.
